CAGS International Surgery Committee and the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA) are developing an initiative to place volunteer Canadian surgeons in COSECSA teaching hospitals. The aim would be to place visiting surgeons where residents are carrying substantial clinical loads but with only limited staff surgeon supervision.
